The approach

About Top Surgery

Top surgery is one of the most personal decisions in a transition, and the chest you're describing to us is the one we're planning toward — not a standard shape, not a generic outcome.

Our surgeons are ABPS board-certified and FACS-credentialed, and they operate only in gender-affirming care. Dr. Sayah brings more than 26 years of surgical experience to technique choices around incision placement, nipple grafting or preservation, implant selection and long-term contour.

We won't rush the conversation to fit a calendar. When you're ready, recovery happens in a private, on-site spa designed specifically for gender-affirming patients — not a shared post-op ward.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What does Top Surgery involve?

For masculinizing patients, this typically means double incision, periareolar or keyhole chest reconstruction with contouring. For feminizing patients, it means breast augmentation planned around your frame, tissue and desired projection. The right technique is chosen in consultation, not assumed in advance.

How much does Top Surgery cost?

Pricing varies with technique, implant choice where relevant, and the length of recovery care you'd like included. After your consultation we provide a written estimate that reflects your specific plan. We're happy to discuss what's covered by insurance where applicable.

How long does Top Surgery take?

The procedure itself generally takes two to four hours depending on approach. Most patients return to non-physical routines within one to two weeks and to full activity around six weeks. Recovery in our private spa is available for the earliest, most sensitive days.
